Brooklyn Nine-Nine - Season 3

Brooklyn Nine-Nine - Season 3

The third season received positive reviews to critical acclaim, although a few audiences found it inferior to the second season. Review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reports a 93% approval rating, with an average score of 8.19/10, based on 14 reviews. The website's consensus reads, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine's third season smartly sidesteps the pitfalls of romantically linking two central characters while also expounding on the series' joy for clever gags and hard-earned camaraderie."[24]

The Fall television season has officially begun! While I am in the process of making a schedule for all the TV premieres that I need to watch, there's one important aspect of this time of year that we can't forget: Last season recaps. Listen, the summer was long and full of terrors and I won't blame you if you can't exactly remember where every single show left off. That's where I come in for the assist. So, I've put together a recap of Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 3 for any fans who may be confused as to why Holt and Jake are in Florida when Season 4 kicks off.

Later on in the season, the pair went on a cruise that turned out to be more work than vacation, but they did admit that they love each other. The couple was pretty solid for the rest of Season 3, even offering to housesit for Holt so that their captain could visit his husband in France. But, although Jake and Amy made plans to move in together in the Season 3 finale, their step forward was hindered by the big case their precinct handled in the last few episodes. Which brings me to...

This fantastic season premiere touched on all the things that were left hanging before; the new captain in the elevator, Captain Holt's new position at the Public Relations department, and most importantly, Jake and Amy's kiss.

In one episode, this show expertly did what most shows take an entire season to do. They successfully paired a couple, allowed them to face obstacles and move forward. They know that their characters have more than just relationship potential to draw us, and they trust that we see that.

This was a great season premiere. It's obvious that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a show that knows exactly what it wants to be, since it has managed to shake things up and still remain true to its core. The season has started with a lot of promise, and I look forward to what's in store.

The third season of an American police sitcom: Set in Brooklyn in 99th Precinct, this is a fiction film that revolves around Jake Peralta - a carefree but talented NYPD detective and his colleagues - other excellent detectives

How much do you remember about Brooklyn Nine-Nine's season 3 We've created the ultimate quiz that will put your detective skills to the test. Only the biggest fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be able to score 100% on this. Do you have what it takes Let's find out!

The hilarious "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" debuted it's third season last Sunday, and fans already saw some major changes to the precinct and the lovable law enforcers therein: Captain Holt is now relegated to pigeon mascot-naming in the NYPD's ineffective PR department with faithful assistant and "the human form of the 100 emoji," Gina Linetti. Bill Hader enters as Captain Seth Dozerman, complete with tablets that track productivity. Amy and Jake are in L-U-V and are, finally, not afraid to say it. If the premiere was any indication, we're in for a few more surprises before season's end.

Grounding us in all the newness is Stephanie Beatriz, who plays the no-nonsense, leather-jacket wearing Rosa Diaz. Beatriz spoke on the phone with The Huffington Post to give us insight into the new season, her character's tough exterior and how she pursues her interests outside of acting.

Unlike a lot of long-running shows, Brooklyn Nine-Nine has managed to maintain consistency in its quality. Regardless, some seasons are definitely better than others: a Reddit user created a thread to rank their favorite seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, ranging from good to exceptional.

The final season of the show showed Jake and the rest of the precinct having to balance their personal and professional lives over what, evidently, was an extremely difficult year. Episodes such as "Blue Flu," "A Game of Boyles" and "PB&J" were some Reddit favorites, but none of which were powerful enough to propel Season 8 higher with fans.

The penultimate season of the show saw Jake and Amy married, and deciding to have a child who Amy gives birth to in the season finale. Needless to say, the show balances the sentimental with the hilarious, and Season 7 is no exception.

This season also made good use of returning guest stars, with two highlights being the Memento-themed episode, and Doug Judy inviting Jake to his bachelor party, which led to some delightful shenanigans. The show never fails to take advantage of its running gags, effectively employing them in later episodes.

This season again shows how Brooklyn Nine-Nine was a show that was only heading up. Beginning the season with Jake and Holt away from the team was an interesting way to start, but this is quickly wrapped up as the pair returns to the 99.

"HalloVeen"saw the insanely adorable Jake and Amy proposal, who then later tied the knot in the emotional season finale. "The Box"is one of the most critically acclaimed episodes of the show, featuring guest star Sterling K. Brown, and this season even handles Rosa emotionally coming out to her parents. All in all, Season 5 feels like the crown jewel of a show that never fails to impress.

Thanks to EW, we have all received a special gift from the creative forces behind Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The man, the myth, the legend that brought you the delightfully crotchety Ron Swanson for seven magnificent seasons of Parks and Recreation will be appearing in Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 3.

Amy and Jake debated the possibility of having children in season 6, leaving fans to wonder if the couple would ever become parents. Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) moderated their discussion, in which Amy took the pro side and Jake addressed the cons. Jake admitted he was scared to become a father but agreed they would try when they were both ready.

The actress was pregnant with her first child while filming season 3 of the Fox-turned-NBC sitcom. Instead of writing the development into the story, Melissa hid her growing belly throughout production. She later pretended to be pregnant to pull off a sting operation. Jake and Amy were newly dating at the time.

Set to premiere Friday, February 8, the third season features the usual suspects as well as a whole slew of guest stars. Making their debut in the trailer are a few of those familiar faces, including Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Melissa Fumero and Stephanie Beatriz and musical icon Gloria Estefan!

When giving Diaz breakup advice, Holt cites a website he consulted. While any normal person would just name the site and say what to search for, Holt gives Diaz the precise URL.Holt: I visited www dot ladiesgoodhealthmag dot com backslash sex hyphen relationships backslash eight six seven five nine nine nine nine zero four backslash nine four three two ampersand two zero dot html. (Beat) Holt: Do you know that site Diaz: No. Meta-example, but that url leads to the season 2 dvds on Amazon Holt attempting to help Diaz break up with her boyfriend in a way that effectively takes into account the other person's emotions could be used as a textbook example of The Blind Leading the Blind:Holt: Apparently, it is less painful [to break up with someone] if you acknowledge the dumpee's feelings. Rosa: Ew. Holt: Don't worry; we'll practice. I'll be Marcus. Rosa: [Clears throat; bluntly] Marcus, I think we should break up. Holt: That makes me feel sad. I'm sad. Rosa: Your sadness is noted. Holt: I feel acknowledged. Thank you for breaking up with me. It will take me eight minutes to collect my things. [They reflect for a moment] Holt: [Sincere] I think that went very well! Originally, Rosa had intended to just break up via text, and Holt had agreed it'd be more efficient. Apparently, Kevin disagreed.Holt: I brought it up with Kevin, and he said we're quote "both sociopaths" unquote. The reason why Rosa wanted to do a quick breakup was because Marcus has "so many emotions". We then get a scene of him crying while watching TV.Marcus: They just love eachother so much... Rosa: It's a commercial! For a refrigerator! Terry calls Jake out for always doing stupid stuff and letting others clean up after him. The following morning, after Jake gets himself out of the pit:Jake: I didn't want to sit around and wait for somebody to clean up my mess. Terry: Hm. I guess I got through to you. Jake: Yeah. Also, after you fell asleep, Boyle really laid into me. It was brutal. [cut to flashback] Charles: [whispering] I got to say, Jake, this time, I think you're only ninety-nine percent right. [Jake gasps]

In a Call-Back to the cold open where the vending machine was taken away, the Nine-Nine gets a new vending machine, with similar pomp. When Jake christens it with a bottle of champagne, the liquid shorts out the keypad.Jake: Okay, well, at least it was just the keypad. None of the snacks got messed up. [a fire ignites inside the vending machine] Whoa! Go! [everyone runs out] Scully: No! It should have been me. It should have been me! A meta example: when Jake asks Boyle for advice about what to get Amy for their six month anniversary, Boyle replies (to Jake's obvious discomfort) "Put a baby in her, Jake! For God's sake, what are you waiting for!" Funny due to Amy's actress Melissa Fumero's recent announcement of her real-life pregnancy, which while not written into the script, was more visibly obvious than usual in this episode due to the tighter-than-normal dress she wears at one point. You have to believe this was a bid of Lampshade Hanging from the writers. Boyle claiming that his knowledge of Paris comes from the film Ratatouille. Kevin is confused, and Holt explains it's the film with the "rodent chef". Agneta claims that Danish is a garbage language for garbage people. Back in season one, Jake learned at least a few phrases in Danish to help plan Charles's wedding. Amy's ludicrously long and surreal mnemonic to help Gina memorise all 67 of Jupiter's moons. It's so long that even she has difficulty remembering it:Santiago: I came up with a fun mnemonic device to remember them all. It goes, "Every Individual Gets Crayons After Telling His Aggressive Little Mongoose Painter Called Ernest Some Lies About Tiny Panda Heads... period. Maybe One Kid Could Take Her Elephant Into California, Except..." [looks up. Gina has gone and Hitchcock is standing there, looking offended.] Where's Gina Hitchcock: She told me you called me a gas giant. Well, now you and I will never hook up. He storms off. Santiago has a "What the hell" look on her face. The cherry on top is that Hitchcock had really been called a gas giant... by Gina. 59ce067264
